5 members of a family died in a tragic road accident that occurred today in Chittorgarh district. Three of the deceased are residents of Udaipur.

The deceased include Ganga Shankar (52), his daughters Sandhya (24) and Nisha (21), all residents of Udaipur’s Bedla area. The other casualties, Pradeep (42), brother in law of Ganga Shankar, and his wife Ranjan (40) are from Dahod (Gujarat).

Ganga Shankar’s wife, Ramila (47), Pradeep’s son Sahil (10) and Dakshina(25) survived the accident with injuries and have been admitted in hospital.

Ganga Shankar was a professional magician and had gone to Kolkata for a show. He was returning back with his family when their Tempo Trax collided with a mini bus. The accident took place at Chittorgarh – Begu Road when the family was coming back to Udaipur.

The collision was so severe that all 5 people died on the spot while two were seriously injured. All bodies have been shifted to Udaipur’s MB Hospital.
