6 people who were travelling in a mini truck died after the truck collided with Udaipur-Bandra train at Kapasan. The accident took place today morning at a railway crossing at Sandiyada Railway Gate.

The victims were residents of Nati Kheda, Badesar, Chittorgarh District. Injured were rushed to Udaipur’s MB Hospital.

According to sources, the mishap occurred when the mini truck tried to cross the railway crossing, ignoring the train advancing towards it. 5 people died on the spot while one person succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

There were 11 people riding in the mini truck. Soon after the collision, locals of the area rushed to rescue the victims.

All train passengers are safe and unhurt. One of the main reasons of the accident was the absence of a guard at railway crossing who could have indicated and avoided the mishap.
