7 Killed, Several Injured in accident at Chirwa

Seven people are confirmed dead, and 14 others were severely injured in a tragic accident that took place today afternoon at Chirwa, nearly 15 km from Udaipur. The accident was so serious that 5 people died on the spot, while one another succumbed to his injuries after admitted to hospital.

Seven people are confirmed dead, and 14 others were severely injured in a tragic accident that took place today afternoon at Chirwa, nearly 15 km from Udaipur. The accident was so serious that 5 people died on the spot, while one another succumbed to his injuries after admitted to hospital.

All victims are from Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and were coming to Udaipur from Bhilwara in a pickup truck.

According to sources, there were 17 people travelling in the pick truck, sources also said that, there was a truck going ahead of pickup; near the accident spot, suddenly the truck driver shove brakes that eventually caused the immediately following pickup to smash inside the truck from behind and roll over into nearby farm.

5 people on pickup truck (in photo above) died instantly, while 14 received serious injuries.

Due to emergency, few victims were rushed to MB Hospital in a private Goods Carrier, whereas others were rescued by 108 Ambulance service.

Although most of the victims were seriously injured and brought in unconscious state, not much personal details have been received yet, except that all of them belong to Gonda U.P. and involved in cloth trade. They were coming to Udaipur from Bhilwara.

Names of Deceased are as follows:

Behri Pandit, Balram Singh, Lachhiram Yadav, Jamna Pandit, Bawa Verma, Paryatan Singh and Ramesh Singh

The names of injured victims are as follows:

Anupam Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Krishna, Vijay, Ram Bihari, Kripa Shankar, Bhuran Singh and Laxman Singh
