An alleged overtaking caused a mishap at Chirwa Slope today morning that injured seven people, including women of a family from Pali.

All injured are rushed to MB Hospital. The family was in Udaipur to attend a wedding reception and was returning to Pali in a bolero. Accident took place when the driver of bolero allegedly attempted to overtake a truck, while another car approached from front.

Upon noticing the car coming from opposite direction, the driver of bolero gave the attempt to overtake the truck, however could not control and hit the rear part of the truck injuring seven people of the family.

Victims are identified as: Suraj Kunwar (50), Kesar Kunwar (50), Ram Kunwar (38), Ganpat Singh (55), Hemlata (20), Bhagwat Singh (53), Durga Kunwar (27)
