A 19 year old boy died and his friend got injured in a road accident at Pratap Nagar today morning.

The mishap occurred at Transport Nagar when the victims were going on their scooter and were hit by an unknown truck from behind. Out of the two victims, Shakur of Vallabh Nagar died on the spot while Abid Khan of Khanjipeer got injured and was rushed to hospital for treatment, as per police.

The body of the deceased boy was kept at the mortuary and his family members were informed.

A case has been registered against the driver at Pratap Nagar for driving carelessly.
