In a sorrowful incident today evening, a woman died at the M.B. Hospital during treatment after being hit by a Van at Fatahpura at around 7.30 pm.

According to Police, Sakina w/o Yahya Ali, a resident of Arora Nagar, Karol Colony was going towards Ahinsapuri to her sister’s place on scooty along with her husband today evening. When the couple reached near Ambhuja Cement house at Fatahpura, a fast moving van hit them and fled away.

In the mishap, Sakina got severely injured while her husband got minor injuries. Both of them were rushed to the M.B. hospital in 108 ambulance where, during the treatment, Sakina was declared dead by the doctors; her husband Yahaya Ali was given the First Aid.

Yahya Ali runs a ready-made garments shop at Bapu Bazar and his wife was a home maker. Police has kept the body at the mortuary for postmortem that will be conducted tomorrow.
