A man has set his own house on fire after being annoyed with his wife.  The incident occurred today at a slum colony near Khanjipeer area.  The police complaint was lodged by the brother of the culprit who ignited his own house, which caused damages to household things worth thousands of rupees.

According to the local residents of the area, Kundan Harijan, a government employee often indulged in heated arguments with his wife Sharda.  Today also Kundan had a fight with his wife; his wife left home and went to her sister’s house, while Kundan in anger, torched his own house.

Police complaint was lodged by Dilip, brother of Kundan, who also lives in the same house.

The Fire Brigade was called to control the situation while no casualties have been reported.
