Australian Couple Dies in a Car Crash at Dabok

Australian residents Gregory James Grant (69) and his wife Marry Grant Patricia (68) died yesterday on 6th Dec when an uncontrolled truck crashed their car while going towards Dabok Airport. The car driver Suresh Purohit is in critical condition.

Australian residents Gregory James Grant (69) and his wife Marry Grant Patricia (68) died yesterday on 6th Dec when an uncontrolled truck crashed their car while going towards Dabok Airport. The car driver Suresh Purohit is in critical condition.

The mishap took place yesterday evening near Reliance Petrol Pump, Dabok Road when the couple was heading towards Airport to take a flight to Delhi.

The deceased couple was holidaying in India for a month with other members of their family including their daughter Amanda Innes and her husband John Wroxton Innes. They were staying in Udaipur for last few days.

On 6th Nov, the family left for Airport in two different vehicles, James and Marry were in a separate car following another car carrying Amanda and her husband.

On Dabok road, suddenly a speeding trolla truck lost its control, leaped over the road divider and smashed their car. The Australian couple and the driver sustained serious injuries and rushed to hospital by Amanda and her husband.

The couple died during treatment while the driver is undergoing treatment for serious wounds.

The bodies of the deceased couple were shifted to mortuary by the local police and the efforts are on to contact the Australian Embassy, as per police.
