The body of an unknown man was found in a well situated near Old Toll Naka, Pratap Nagar today. Pratap Nagar Police has recovered the body and has shifted it to the mortuary for post-mortem.

The partially decomposed body is said to be 2-3 days old. The body was discovered by a truck driver who came near the well this morning. Smelling something foul in the air, he decided to investigate, which led to the discovery of the body. A large crowd had gathered in the area later, as the news spread across the busy highway of Pratap Nagar.

According to the police, the deceased seems to be a mentally challenged man, though he remains unidentified. The cause of death can only be determined definitely after the post-mortem.
