In a heart wrenching and sorry incident that took place yesterday, 4 brothers allegedly fought among themselves over a property issue, while their mother’s dead body was lying on the roadside awaiting funeral.

The matter also involved selecting the final location for the last rites, where one brother wanted the last rites to be performed at Hiran Magri, while the other three demanded that it should be held at Bedla crematorium

According to the Police, Mithoo Bai (80) w/o Gesu Dev Vairagi died on Monday Oct1. She was living with her elder son Kishan Das, at his residence in Akashwani Colony, Madri.

Her three other sons, viz. Lal Das, Tulsi Das and Shyam Das live in the Bedla area. While Kishan was about to leave for the cremation grounds, having made all the necessary preparations, the other three reached the spot and began to argue.

They then started to quarrel on where to do the last rites, and also on a property related issue.

Later, Pratap Nagar police team reached there and solved the matter for the time being, thereby insuring that the last rites were done peacefully at the Hiran Magri cremation center.

Though, no case was registered against any of them, it was still shocking that the dead body of a mother kept waiting for its last ritual to be performed whiles the ones who had to do it were quarreling.
