A roadways bus overturned at Khandi Ovri village of Kherwada Tehsil on Sunday bight causing the death of a 55-year old tribal man of Dungarpur and leaving 36 passengers injured.

12 of the seriously injured passengers (all adiwasi) were rushed to Dungarpur hospital and the other victims were shifted to Kherwada community health center for the treatment.

The mishap occurred near Kandi Ovri village after the speeding bus turned over a road divider. Most of the passengers were from Adiwasi community who were heading towards Dungarpur after attending the Adiwasi Sammelan in Udaipur.
