A 20-year-old girl jumped to her death from the terrace of a four-storey building at sector 4 Hiran Magri. The victim, a student of MLSU, was a resident of the same building.

The shocking incident took place after midnight of 16^th July. Prima facie, the police is treating the case as a suicide, although no suicide note has been found.

Originally from Kankroli, Rajsamand, the victim was a tenant in the building located near Narcotics Department office. According to the authorities, the girl jumped from a height of 48 ft, breaking her hands and legs. She was rushed to the hospital where she was later declared dead.

During the investigation, it was found that the girl had gone to the terrace and climbed the wall hanging there. She also allegedly consumed beer before jumping to death, as a bottle of beer was found from the place she jumped.

Police are now investigating the cause of her death. It is also speculated that she may have been talking to someone on her phone before jumping. She was also an employee for a private company at Thokar Chouraha.

The victim’s mother currently resides in Kankroli while her father is working in Delhi.

Update: The girl was under mental stress from last few days.
