A 24 year old engineering student of Sir Padampat Singhania University died after drowning in Bhatewar Lake. Clothes and slippers of the deceased were found from the spot and search operation was launched and the body was found today morning.

Prashant Singh of Kanpur was a student of Final year B. tech and was staying at university hostel. Yesterday he went near the lake with his friends for picnic.

The victim drowned in the lake when all other students were enjoying the picnic and taking bath in the lake.

A team from Kheroda Police Station rushed to the scene as soon as they were informed about the mishap. The search operation was immediately started in the evening, and the body was found today at around 11:30am.
