Shivlal Meena (22), resident of Umarda’s Uplafala Village and student of MLSU, drowned in a water body situated in a mine at Umarda. Body of the victim was pulled out with the help of rescue divers.

According to the police, the victim was returning home after attending a cremation ceremony. He went to an open mine to take bath in a pond where a large amount of rain water had gathered. As per the customs, it is necessary to take bath after performing last rites.

Meena, not realizing the depth of the water body, went inside and got drowned.
