A constable of Mewar Bhil Corp died on the spot on Saturday afternoon after falling from police vehicle while 4 other passengers got injured in a road mishap that occurred near Vijay Filling Station situated near Tidi village, 30 km from Udaipur City.

The mishap occurred when the vehicle heading towards Udaipur from Kherwada collided head on with a car carrying 4 passengers, all residents of Dungarpur district.

The body of the deceased constable who was returning to Udaipur to join his duty after Celebrating Diwali was shifted to mortuary while the injured were rushed to a private hosptial for treatment, said police.

Police also added that the incidence took place when the Cantor driver suddenly lost control and tried to save his vehicle from a road divider but during the manoeuvre could not avoid colliding with a car heading in the other direction towards Dungarpur.
