A big pile of dried out cow dung caught into flames near the farms at Surya Nagar in Akashvani Colony (Madri Industrial Area) today afternoon. Two vehicles of fire fighters responded the scene and controlled the fire which spread further into bushes and trees. The cow dung was set to supply for biogas process. Today’s fire spread across 500 meters of area; however no casualties have been reported. It took more than an hour for the fire fighters to control the flames. Another incidence of fire has been reported from the jungles of Chirwa Valley due to natural reasons. One vehicle of Fire Brigade reached the spot.
