A mishap was reported at Khamnor Police Station this evening when a student was found dead in a pond near Bhatever.

According to Police, information of the body floating in the pond near Bhatever was recieved at 5.30 PM. When team reached the scene, the body was taken out of the water and was later recognized as Akhand Pratap Singh Tomar, 4th Yr. (8th Sem.) student at SPSU, Udaipur.

The clothes of Akhand were found by the side of the pond which gives an initial impression that it could be an accident as he might have went in the water intentionally, to swim.

Police have sent the body to the MB Hospital Mortuary for the postmortem to be done tomorrow. The family of the deceased from Mohena, MP has been informed.
