A patch of dry grass at Gulab Bagh Zoo caught fire due to rising temperature in the city. Three fire tenders from the Fire department rushed to the scene and controlled the spreading fire.

The area known as Kikarbadi got completely gutted in fire. No fatalities have been reported though.

According to sources, today afternoon, dry bushes and grass at Kikarbadi suddenly caught fire due to rising temperature and this fire very quickly spread to large part of the area.

Fire brigade responded immediately and brought the fire under control.
