Eight Villages go into seclusion due to Bridge Collapse

A road bridge on the Salumber – Bambora route collapsed, causing disruption of normal traffic on the network.

This bridge is situated at Karka village, 60 km from Udaipur. The bridge collapsed this morning reportedly due to force of high currents in Gomti Nadi.

The loss has caused 8 villages to go into seclusion as there is no connectivity now to these villages.

There has been no loss of life or injuries however. Government officials reached the scene and the roads connecting to the bridge were blocked.
