A 22-year-old engineering student committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Pratap Nagar today morning. The cause of suicide is believed to be depression.

Lokesh Nagar, who originally belongs to Barcholi near Baran, was staying in Udaipur’s Shiv Colony, Pratap Nagar from past three years and was student of 4^th year engineering at Pacific College. Lokesh arrived in Udaipur just a day before, after spending Diwali vacation with his family in Baran.

According to police, the house owner of Lokesh saw him hanging from roof today morning and immediately informed police. No suicide note has been found from the room, but few medicines of depression were discovered by police, which indicated that Lokesh might have been suffering from depression and that cause him to commit suicide.

The body of the deceased will be handed over to the family members after the postmortem.
