The family of the young man who died due under mysterious circumstances has appealed to the Police Superintendent for a re-postmortem of the body, expressing their doubts that their son, 25-year-old electrician, Chandan Gupta was murdered.

Consequently, the postmortem was again done at MB Hospital today afternoon after it was first conducted at the Community Health Centre, Sarada.
According to the application, the body of Chandan Gupta, resident of South Sunderwas area was found in a canal flowing close to Jaisamand Lake on 12th October. Chandan left his house on 10th October with a contractor named Suryabhan Singh for some electricity work at Jaisamand Resort.
Since then, Chandan went missing, and a report was lodged at Sarada Police station. Then, on 12th October the family members were called by Jaisamand-Sarada Police to identify a body that was found in the canal.
According to the father of the deceased, Rameshwar Gupta, the body of his son was taken to Jhadol CHC centre for postmortem but he was not satisfied and subsequently asked for a re-postmortem at MB Hospital.
The family also alleges the contractor’s involvement in Chandan’s death and seeks police inquiry. The autopsy was conducted today at MB Hospital.
