A case was registered against Amolak Diagnostic Centre following a complaint by a female patient who claimed that due to an allegedly misleading report of the named diagnosis center, she had undergone an operation that caused her mental stress and financial loss.

Sakina Kagzi, 27, a house wife lodged the complaint at Hathipol Police yesterday; Sakina was diagnosed with ruptured ectopic pregnancy after the sonography done at Amolak on 22 Sept 2012. On the basis of the report, Dr. Zehra Abbas had performed the surgery on Sakina but later found that there was no ruptured pregnancy and the patient could have been cured without surgery.

According to the police the complainant Sakina has stated that the sonography report was given by Dr. Om Prakash Sharma who is working at Amolak Diagnosis Centre. Sakina also demanded to take strict legal action against Dr. Om Prakash Sharma and the Manager of Amolak Diagnosis Centre.

Sakina presented her case in front of Hari Prasad Sharma, S.P and after the direction of S.P, the police team has done an initial investigation and lodged an FIR against Dr. Om Prakash Sharma and the Manager of Amolak Diagnosis Centre.

In response to the prior allegations, Dr. Arvinder Singh, Director of Amolak Diagnosis has already denied all charges and alleges that the diagnostic centre could not be blamed for this as the decision of surgery has to be the final call of doctors and not the diagnosis centre.

Dr. Arvinder in his interview with UT (on 29 Sept) had already claimed and explained that the report of Amolak is not wrong or misleading.
