A 22-year-old girl was found dead in Goverdhan Sagar Lake today. The body was pulled out with the help of divers and shifted to the mortuary.

Prima Facie, Police is considering it a suicide but no suicide note was found to confirm the assumption. However, upon investigation, police found that the girl was under mental pressure from last few months.

According to police, a local priest noticed clothes and mobile phone lying on the shore of lake. Doubting the situation, the priest alerted police and the search operation was started. Police also contacted relatives of the deceased through the mobile phone found near lake.

The deceased was working in a private firm and was resident of Sector-14.

Police has shifted the body to mortuary for postmortem.
