In a shocking hit-and-run accident, a 6 year old boy Umer Abdullah died on the spot whereas his parents received severe injuries who were later hospitalized. The mishap occurred on Monday at 5 PM when the family was returning home on bike.

The victims Umer, his father Anees Ahmed and mother were heading towards their house from railway gate. When they reached near Krishi Mandi opposite petrol pump, a speeding auto rickshaw hit their bike causing death of the minor on the spot.

Police informed that the driver fled from the scene, while the locals rushed to help the victims who were sent to Kanak Hospital for treatment. The minor boy was declared dead and his body was shifted to mortuary.

Umer’s uncle informed that the mother is a government teacher posted in school at Zawar Mines and father with Umer used to pick up the mother from Railway crossing area, Savina every day.
