Hoarding Falls on Electric Wire; Catches Fire
An advertisement hoarding stationed several feet above ground was gutted in fire after it fell down and came in contact with high voltage electric wires. The hoarding caught fire causing anxiety in the nearby locality.
An advertisement hoarding stationed several feet above ground was gutted in fire after it fell down and came in contact with high voltage electric wires. The hoarding caught fire causing anxiety in the nearby locality.
The incident occurred near Surajpol area, opposite Ashoka Cinema today. No casualties have been reported in the mishap.
According to eye witnesses, two vehicles of fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Rakesh Joshi, owner of Nandu Travels, who is based in the same area, complained that last night his car got damaged after few iron rods fell from the hoarding.
Yesterday’s damage, coupled with wind speed today afternoon, might have led to collapse of the hoarding.
Fire at Shop
In another incident of fire, a shop, Bansal Batteries, located in Mewar Motor’s road caught fire today. Incense sticks (Agarbatti), lit as part of religious practice is speculated to have been the cause of fire.
The fire was immediately controlled with the help of locals and fire brigade officials.
