In a mishap registered tonight, one died and twelve injured in a road accident at old Toll Naka, Pratap Nagar, when a Jeep, carrying 11 passengers along with driver and a spotter, fell into the Nala.

Accident took place when a Jeep coming from Kankroli, reached near Pratap Nagar Toll Naka and got imbalanced. It ran over the road-divider and fell in the Nala.

After passersby informed Pratap Nagar Police Station, Police rushed to the scene and sent the injured to M.B hospital at 11.15 PM where Laxman (40) s/o Veerji, resident of Bilak Village, died during the treatment.

All the passengers work as laborers in Marble Factories at Kankroli. They were returning back to their homes for Diwali Celebration. The injured include Babulal, Gopal, Prakash, Meghraj, Mukesh, Raju, Soma, Harish, Anil, Babu, Vaga Ram and Ramesh. All of them were admitted to M.B Hospital with injuries and their treatment is in progress.
