A physically handicapped man, employed as a Clerk at the Excise Department was rushed to hospital after being hit by a loading Tempo today evening at Panchwati area.

Kenilal Gayri, UDC Excise Department, Udaipur and resident of Rajsamand received serious injuries on the right leg. The mishap took place when Gayri who is completely unable to walk due to disability was waiting for a bus outside his office.

According to sources, a white colored loading Tempo bearing No. RJ-30-A-3540 came from behind and hit Gayri. The driver fled away from the spot.

Passersby informed the Excise Department about the mishap. Colleagues of Gayri accompanied him to hospital.

Sources informed that every day Gayri is assisted by someone from office to reach the spot from where he takes a roadways bus going towards Rajsamand.
