A tanker carrying LPG turned turtle on the road after losing control at Debari on Friday morning. Soon a team of police rushed to the scene after getting the information and controlled the situation in more than 3 hours of efforts.

The incidence took place at 8.30 AM when a tanker, heading towards Chittorgarh from Udaipur suddenly went out of control, hit the divider and rolled over near the Debari Power House. The driver and the spotter fled from the scene leaving the truck behind.

The passersby informed the police after which AdSP City Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj, Traffic Deputy SP Rajaram Meena and SHO Chandmal with Traffic in charge Narpat Singh and team initiated the rescue operation.

Later, 2 cranes and 4 fire engines were called on the spot for assistance to shift the tanker off the road. An ugly situation of traffic in that area led to 3 extended hours of operation. Water was sprinkled over the tanker filled with LPG to avoid catching fire.

During the operation, the area had to suffer power cut as well. The truck has been shifted from the road.
