Another incident of road mishap took place at Sukher on Saturday when a 25 year old labor died on the spot as a speeding truck hit him while he was standing at the side of the road. The truck driver got arrested and his truck seized by the police.

The incident took place in the afternoon when the victim Jaalam Chand Gameti of naya gaon, Jhadol was standing on the side of the road. The speeding truck got out of control and hit him hard. The truck’s wheels smashed his head when he fell down causing death of the victim.

Soon, the police got information of the mishap and came in action. After chasing the accused driver for a few meters, he was arrested by the cops, said police.

The accused driver identified as Zakir Khan was booked for driving negligently. In the initial investigation it was found that the accused driver was trying to overtake other vehicle and in between lost control, police added.

The dead body was shifted to the mortuary and his relatives informed about the mishap.
