In a tragic incident, a man was crushed by a tree, which fell on him today morning at Champa Lal Dharmshala.

The deceased was later identified as Ashok Kumar Meghwal, resident of Sector 3, Hiran Magri. The mishap occurred when the victim, who was a painter by profession, was on his way from Surajpol to Kumharon Ka Bhatta. En route, when he reached Champalal Dharmshala, a tree fell on him. Due to the impact and tree’s weight, victim died on the spot, as per police.

Upon receiving information, team of Surajpol Police Station rushed to the scene and shifted the body to the mortuary and removed the tree from the middle of the road.

With the help of identification card found in victim’s pocket, his identity was revealed and his family members were informed.
