In a bizarre incident which took place at Hathipol area on Saturday evening, a man who was allegedly drunk died while sitting near a parked car. A large number of people gathered around the spot which also caused traffic jam until police controlled the situation.

Though not indentified, the deceased man is said to be around 50 year old and working as a barber at a Salon in Moti Chohta area.

According to sources, the victim was heavily drunk and fall on ground receiving head injuries. He tried to get up and while sitting in squat position, he died. The incident occurred just opposite to Sunrise Bakery.

Due to peak traffic hours, a large number of people gathered around the spot causing traffic jam. A few locals informed Hathipol Police and the victim’s body was rushed to MB Hospital but he was declared dead by doctors, the body was later shifted to mortuary and investigation is started.
