A middle aged man, resident of Kharol Colony died in a road accident that took place on Sunday evening near Balicha. The deceased Tahir Ali Alamshahwala died on the spot after a truck hit his motorcycle and overran him.

At the time of accident, Tahir was accompanied with his 10 year old relative Arwa who received severe injuries and is undergoing treatment.

According to police, Tahir along with his relatives were going to picnic on Sunday evening. While passing from Balicha, a truck hit Tahir’s bike and overran him. The victim died on the spot, whereas the truck driver fled away leaving the truck behind.

Victim’s body is handed over to the relatives after postmortem, informed police.
