A 50 year old man died after being hit by a speeding truck while he was crossing the road.

Nana Lal, resident of Kaya Village on the National Highway 8, was walking across the road on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway, when a speeding tanker carrying acid hit him, killing him on the spot. The incident occurred near the Charan Kamal restaurant at 8:30pm last night.

The truck has been seized while the driver has been absconded. The body of of deceased has been shifted to the mortuary and the post mortem will be conducted today.
