In a sad case of a reported road accident that was registered today evening at the Pratap Nagar Police Station, a person died after being hit by an unknown vehicle.

According to the Police, a body was noticed by passersby on the road near the Old Toll Booth at Pratap Nagar around 8.30 this evening. The man was later recognized by the people as a mentally ill person who used to be seen in the neighborhood.

Some unknown vehicle had apparently hit him, due to which he died.

There was no clue of what vehicle hit him and when the accident took place. As soon as people saw the body, they called Police and the body was shifted to the MB Hospital mortuary for postmortem and full identification.
