Death of the 20-year MLSU student who died after a fall from the fourth floor of her hostel took a controversial turn today with the girl’s father claiming it to be a case of murder and not suicide.

The family of the deceased student, who had reportedly jumped off the hostel building yesterday, reached today to claim her body. Postmortem was conducted on Thursday after the family members arrived.

The father of the deceased, who works in Delhi, has blamed Paying Guest (PG) authority and claimed that it is a plotted murder and not a case of suicide. He has lodged a case with the Hiranmagri police station against his daughter’s room partner, hostel owner and a boy assumed to be a friend of the deceased.

He said that his daughter was living in PG since past 1.5 months and was preparing for IAS exam. He claims that there was no matter so serious that she would have resorted to the extreme step.

He further informed that the family had a chat with the girl over phone some time before the incident. The call, he says, was a normal one and nothing in the call signaled about the girl’s intention of committing suicide.

Girl’s father also alleged that the beer bottle found in her room did not belong to his daughter but was planted by the PG authorities to cover the crime.

Meanwhile during investigation the police found that the girl had send text message to a contact who she had last spoken to, telling him that she was going to jump down. The girl’s mobile got damaged due to the fall. Police are now trying to track the call details to make further inroads into the case.

The father of the deceased works in Delhi and his family lives in Kankroli, Rajsamand.
