A police constable of Pratap Nagar police station was referred to Ahmedabad for treatment after he was hit by a speeding truck trailer on Monday during night patrolling near Maa ji ki Saraye, Thokar Circle.

Constable Sangram Singh, posted at Pratap Nagar police station got received severe injuries after his bike was hit by speeding truck trailer near Thokar Circle. Singh was immediately rushed to MB Hospital by a passerby however, in the wee hours he was referred to Ahmedabad after critical condition.

On the other side, a complaint was lodged against the truck driver for driving negligently and hitting an on-duty policeman. The CCTVs’ footage is being taken into consideration to get a clue about the absconding driver, police said.
