A 26-year old man died on the spot, while another man has received multiple injuries when a JCB truck tyre burst at the Kanpur-Madri area today afternoon.

Hari Singh Rajput (26), [in photo above] resident of Bichada, Kali Ghati, Dabok was the driver of a loading tempo and was sitting near a puncture shop at Siloni Kanta, between Road No.1 and 2 of Kanpur-Madri area when a tyre accidently blasted while filling air in it.

According to Pratap Nagar Police, more than 20 nuts and bolts flung into Hari Singh’s head, face and other parts of the body.

The impact was so fierce that Hari Singh was thrown away and hurled several feet high in the air and died on the spot.

The body of the deceased has been transferred to the mortuary. Another person, whose identity is not known, was reportedly injured in the accident and is admitted in GBH American Hospital.
