In the road accident that occurred last night of 12 Dec. at Udiapol-Railway Station road, one person was seriously injured. The victim staying in the nearby slum got hit by a motorcycle when he was walking towards his house opposite to the Railway Station.

Mukesh Vagri was hit by an unidentified biker coming from behind and left with serious injuries; the accused fled leaving his bike on the scene.

The police was informed by the family members of the injured and he was rushed to a private hospital first and later shifted to M.B. Hospital and admitted to the ward 16 of the hospital, said police.

Police informed UT that the bike has been taken into custody and the after registering a case against the rider the search has started; soon the accused will be arrested.

On 12^th December, UT had published photograph of an accident with a note stating “one person reportedly died” was erroneous.
