A man hit by a truck on Saturday evening succumbed to his injuries while being treated at the M.B. Hospital yesterday evening.

The body of the deceased, Mangi Lal Gameti, resident of Bhilo Ka Muhalla, behind Happy Home School was shifted to the Mortuary for Postmortem.

He was hit by the truck while returning to his house from Bedwas after the day’s work.

When the mishap occurred, Mangi Lal was walking along the road side and suddenly a speeding truck hit him and fled away from the scene. He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and got admitted there; he was receiving treatment since then, but today he succumbed to his injuries, as per Pratap Nagar police.

The body of the deceased is kept at the Mortuary and a case has been lodged against the accused truck driver for reckless driving.
