A police constable died on the spot in a road mishap after he was hit by a speeding truck at Bambora Circle of the Kurabad police station circle on Wednesday. The dead body of the victim was shifted to mortuary for postmortem. It is to consider that 28-year old wife of the victim had committed suicide two days ago. 

Victim Bhupendra Singh Panwar, a police constable posted at Mahila Thana of Udaipur was smashed by a speeding truck on Wednesday while he went to urinate by the road side. The mishap occurred when he and his brother Lokesh were heading towards Udaipur in their car from Salumbar. After reaching at the Bambora Circle, Bhupendra got out of the car and while crossing the road, he was hit by a speeding truck. The truck driver fled from the scene and the cop died on the spot, said police.

Later the cops were informed about the mishap by victim’s brother Lokesh. Police lodged an FIR against the accused driver of the truck.

The victim hails from Kanpur village and was staying at Shuker area. Following the adversity on the cop’s family after his death, his wife had committed suicide due to reasons unknown two days back, while the couple’s 2.5 old daughter is left alone.
