Devendra Kanwar, wife of Dhirendra Singh, a head constable at traffic department died on the spot after a speeding truck hit the couple going on bike.

Singh has received injuries and admitted in hospital. The accident took place today at Nalla Village.

According to the police, a speeding truck coming from behind lost its control and hit the bike. Dhirendra Singh and his wife fell down, the truck overran the woman killing her on the spot.

A case has been lodged against an unknown truck driver for rash driving.
