Local administration faced stern dissent by members of a community who protested outside collectorate and warned to boycott elections if no positive action is taken regarding the missing person of their community.

The missing person, Devilal Gameti, a gardener at Municipal Corporation is missing since 22 Nov. A memorandum was presented by the Shanta, wife of Devilal. The letter stated that he was an alcoholic and on the evening of 22nd Nov he went to buy liquor but he didn’t return home.

The memorandum said that the family members started searching and after inquiring with few they came to know that Devilal was picked up by police patrol for consuming liquor in public place. However, when the family reached police station they were told that Devilal was released on bail.

But when the victim didn’t return till 24th November, his wife lodged a Missing Person Complaint.

According to the protestors and wife of the victim, no action has been taken by the police. District Collector has insured action within 24 hours.

Shanta said that she has a doubt that something wrong happened to her husband at the police station. She warned that if her husband is not found till 30th November, she will commit suicide in front of the Police Station.
