Heavy rains yesterday caused mayhem in many parts of the city and also in the outskirts with sudden flow of water. The same was the case with Sisarma, which till afternoon was running over 18 ft. mark.

In Sisarma, a family of four was caught in the flow of water. To get them out safely, a rescue operation was conducted by the team of professionals.

Family members including Govind, Leela and their two daughters Sonu and Konika were rescued after a 3 hour long rescue operation which started at 12 PM. Though, no such other incident came to light till now.

SP, Ajaypal Lamba informed, “High Alert has been declared in many areas of the city, including colonies and areas adjoining Aayad River.”

Officials including SP, ADM City and DySP were present on the spot and situation was handled by the team of rescue professionals.
