A couple died in the wee hours on Monday night after the roof of their mud house suddenly collapsed here at Gogunda village of the district. The mishap also caused the death of one of their bulls and the left another severely injured who was later rushed to the hospital.

The incidence occurred of Monday night when the victim Nana Lal (48) and his wife Devli Bai (45) were sleeping in their house with their bulls tied up in the backyard. Suddenly the roof of the old mud house collapsed causing on the spot death of the victims including one bull. A huge crowed of villagers gathered on the spot and later the police was informed about the mishap, said police.

According to the police a rescue operation was started a few hours later by police and villagers who pulled out the dead bodies. The deceased were rushed to the mortuary and were handed over to Bhera, son of the victims who used to stay in a separate house with his wife.
