A school teacher allegedly died by consuming an unidentified poisonous substance, last night of 21 Oct at her residence at Eklavya Colony.
Neera (35) w/o Pramod Meena died soon after being admitted to Aravali Hospital. The reason of the death, however is still not clear. The victim’s father, Pitharam has alleged his son-in-law Pramod of torturing his daughter, which forced her to take such a step.
Pitharam also blamed Pramod for physically abusing Neera whom he had been married to since 8 years. The couple has 2 children.
According to sources, both Neera and Pramod are teachers in government schools. Neera was teaching in Kolari village under Jhadol while her husband was posted in another school in the same village.
Pitharam, father of Neera informed UT, “I got a call from Pramod who informed me about the mishap. When I rushed to the hospital I saw marks on my daughter’s body. I immediately informed the police and I doubt that Pramod has physically abused my daughter as he used to beat her and doubted her character”.
Pramod Meena said, “I was watching TV at around 8.30 pm and my wife was preparing food in the kitchen, suddenly she started vomiting, I immediately took her to the hospital along with my elder brother”.
Denouncing the charges made by his Father in Law, Pramod said that I am an educated man and never used to beat my wife. We both used to leave the house together in the morning every day. I used to drop her first at the Jhadol Government School and then go to my school, which was 4 km away from hers.”
Dy. S. P., Dayanand Saran met the victim’s father and assured a thorough investigation and justice.
