Security Guard dies after getting stuck in Lift
In what could be said as one of the most tragic incidents occurred in the city, a security guard of a private company died last night after being trapped between the lift and a wall. The partially mutilated body of the victim was pulled out after 2 hours of operation.
In what could be said as one of the most tragic incidents occurred in the city, a security guard of a private company died last night after being trapped between the lift and a wall. The partially mutilated body of the victim was pulled out after 2 hours of operation.
The tragic incident took place at the house of Trilok Singh and Mukhtiyar Singh, owners of Friends Engineering Works.
The victim, Naval Singh Rawat, 45, resident of Bhim was working as a security guard at Friends Engineering. He went to Singh’s house at Pratap Nagar. When Rawat was going down from the lift, one of his legs got stuck in the space between the lift and wall. Subsequently the lift started wedging Naval’s body.
After more than two hours, the victim’s body was pulled out from the lift. All senior police officials rushed to the scene and inspected the situation.
According to police, prima facie, it appears to be an accident but investigation will be done.
Naval Singh was working with Friends Engineering for last 14 years. He is survived by wife and 5 daughters. His family used to live in Bhim but presently residing in Udaipur due to vacation.
