A security guard of a private hospital died in a road accident that took place at Balicha-Pratap Nagar bypass on Thursday morning. His relative who was with him received injuries in the mishap.

Victim Bhanwar lal Jaat, aged 22 of Amarpura village of Kheroda police station circle met with an accident after a speeding truck hit his bike hard. The truck driver fled away from the scene leaving behind the two injured. They were taken to the same hospital where Bhanwar lal used to work as a security guard. Later, he was declared dead by the doctors, said police.

The mishap occurred when Bhanwar lal was returning home after his shift with his relative Shreeram. The victims reached Madri when the truck hit the bike and fled away.

The dead body of the deceased man was shifted to mortuary for postmortem while Shreeram was relieved from the hospital after he received first aid, police added.
