A speeding private bus ran over two pedestrians last night, killing both victims on the spot. The angry locals of the area thrashed the bus driver and handed him to the police.

The accident occurred near FCI Office Akashwani Colony last night when Laxmilal Ved (48) and his son in law Dinesh Ved (30) with another relative Kamal (19)were walking on the road side, suddenly a bus coming from behind hit the pedestrians, Kamal somehow saved himself but Laxmilal and Dinesh got trapped in the bus.

Even after the accident, the driver didn’t stop the bus until the bus hit an electric poll. Both bodies were wedged inside the bus. Seeing the tragic mishap, locals of the area gathered near the accident spot and started beating the driver, who was identified as Shiva Meena.

Bodies of the victims were pulled out with the help of crane and rushed to hospital. Police has arrested the driver and booked him under section 304 IPC. Before the mishap, the driver had hit another man in Hiran Magri area and a separate report is lodged against him.
