In a tragic mishap that took place at Zinc Circle of Pratap Nagar Police station circle on Thursday, three people including two girls and a boy died on the spot after their motorbike got hit by a speeding truck container.

The incidence took place on Thursday when the trio was returning from Ghate wala Mata Temple at Dabok. The victims were identified as Praveen Salvi of Sakroda, Rattu alias Ratan Gameti and Santosh of Moti Kheda. Praveen was working as a factory laborer while the girls were studying in one of the schools of Dabok, police said.

As per the police, the sibling girls decided to go to the temple to offer prayers. While returning, they took lift from Praveen on his bike. At Zinc circle, they got hit by a speeding truck container from behind which ramped into a car and overturned. The trio died on the spot whereas the driver and spotter of the truck received severe injuries and were rushed to MB Hospital for treatment, said Assistant Sub Inspector Lal Singh.

ASI Lal Singh added that the team of cops including DySP Subhagya Singh and SHO Hiran Mangri Police station Chagan Purohit rushed to the scene. Later the container was lifted off the road with a crane.

While talking to UT, Ratan’s father Devi Lal said that his daughter left with Santosh to the temple and within one hour, this mishap took place. Santosh was his elder brother’s daughter, said Devi Lal.
