A 35 year old man was killed by a speeding truck while he was crossing the road near the Tidi village bus stand.

The deceased, whose body has been kept at mortuary for the postmortem, was identified as Shanker, resident of Baraapal.

The accident occured when Shanker was crossing the road on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway, when a speeding truck hit him and killed him on the spot.

The truck was seized by the police, while the driver is on the run.
